LTYC’s Sailing Director, Dan Thompson offers private coaching to any sailor, sailors, or boats who desire it. Coaching can cover a large range of topics including but not limited to; boat tuning, boat setup, boat handling, boat speed, tactics, strategy, starting, teamwork, and communication. Each lesson will be custom tailored to fit the needs of each sailor or boat. Different services offered range from 1.5 to 3 hour lessons and their respective costs, as well as a custom option for those who may require a larger block of time such as a day.

1.5 Hour Private Coaching, 90 mins, $140
2 Hour Private Coaching, 120 mins, $180
2.5 Hour Private Coaching,150 mins, $215
3 Hour Private Coaching,180 mins, $250

Discounts and Purchasing
A discount of 10% is given to bulk orders of more than 8 hours of lessons, this can be any combination of the above services as long as 8 or more total hours are purchased at the same time.
To purchase a lesson, please follow the link below. It will take you to a page where you can select your desired service, and then pick times. My available hours for each date are shown, June 10-August 16. You will be asked to provide contact information, and confirm your lesson. Once you have done so, you are set to go. To book multiple lessons, you have to click the link multiple times.

If you do not wish to schedule online or have questions, you may contact Dan via email or phone. Please provide your name, phone number, email, and desired times. Payment for lessons will be done at the LTYC over the summer. Lessons can be cancelled. If cancelled more than 72 hours in advance of the lesson, there is no charge. If cancelled less than 72 hours in advance you will be charged the full price of the lesson.
In addition to the above lessons, Dan is available on Tuesday evenings and weekend fleet racing for the club sponsored races to provide one free lesson per member. This service will be offered on a first come first serve basis. Interested sailors should email me requesting a lesson and preferred date(s). If you have any question please feel free to contact me.
